Sony Delays Days Gone to April 2019

The upcoming PS4 exclusive Days Gone from Sony Bend was unfortunately delayed, and that means we will not be able to receive this open-world zombie game from its previous release date on February 22nd, 2019. While this news will definitely sadden those of you who have pre-ordered the game and looking forward to playing on February 22nd, this is a rare occurrence that we are not just feeling great about the delay Sony made, we have actually been waiting for this to happen for quite a while.

If you are still not sure what we’re talking about, the first quarter of 2019 is going to be bombarded with a lot of new games starting from January 2019. The number of new games coming out in the early part of the year has been increasing these years, but 2019 is a new beast!

In January:

Resident Evil 2
Kingdom Hearts III
Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown
Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes

In February:

Dead or Alive 6
Metro Exodus
Crackdown 3

In March:

The Division 2
Devil May Cry 5
Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice
Left Alive

We think this push Sony made for its exclusive PS4 game Days Gone is to potentially provide more room in the market to specifically target a select audience from the crowded market in February. With two extra months, we hope Sony can successfully market Days Gone like its God of War last year.
